The Door Church is a local church based in Dale City Virginia. Pastor Brian Lowery and his family have been serving in the congregation for years. Pastor Brian has a heart for World evangelism. The Door Church has dedicated itself to serve the Dale City community. Our church has a mission to see people saved and serving God in all they do.
Our doors are open to anyone who walks in. We are touching the lives of our city every day as saints, young and old spread the Gospel of Christ. We believe in planting churches worldwide and are seeing that vision come alive.

Our church is part of the network of Christian Fellowship Ministries, founded by Pastor Wayman Mitchell. In 1970, Pastor Mitchell went to Prescott, Arizona, to lead a small, struggling congregation. Shortly after his arrival, God saved a number of hippies, and they were welcomed into the church. This marked the beginning of a remarkable outpouring of conversions and growth connected with the "Jesus Movement" of the 1970s.
As God revealed His plan for discipleship, churches began to be planted throughout the United States, which led to church planting and discipleship efforts in many other nations. Pastor Mitchell traveled extensively around the world, preaching at various conferences, rallies, leadership meetings, discipleship classes, and healing crusades until early 2020.
Pastor Mitchell went home to his reward on September 21, 2020, leaving behind a world-changing move of God. We are blessed to be part of a fellowship united by the desire to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Our Pastor
Brian & Becky Lowery
Pastor Brian has been happily married to Becky, the wife of his youth for 30 years. However, it wasn't always this way.
Like many young military couples, their marriage began with problems. Alcohol-fueled parties, pornography, and long work hours caused stress and frequent fights. Things got so bad that Brian volunteered for a six-month ship deployment to the Mediterranean Sea on the US Saipan. Alone on the ship and on shore leave, Brian faced his problems alone, which made them worse. A Christian onboard shared with him about Jesus’ love and a new life through Him. He learned that because Jesus is alive, his marriage could be healed.
Brian started attending Bible studies on the ship. After returning, the same Christian invited the Lowerys to a revival meeting at Victory Chapel in Havelock, NC. They gave their lives to Christ at the next service and committed to living by God’s Word. They had attended church before, but this time was different—they truly wanted to be free. This was on Super Bowl Sunday 1997. Since then, the Lowerys have stayed close to Christ through concerts, community outreach, Bible study, and strong gospel preaching.
Soon after, Brian felt called to preach. In 2006, with three children, the family moved to Cary, NC to start a new church. They later pastored in Charlotte, NC and served as missionaries in India. When COVID-19 ended their overseas work, they returned to Havelock, NC for a while.
Brian and Becky both graduated from local high schools and have always felt connected to Prince William County. Thirty years after Brian joined the Marines in Woodbridge, they have come back to start a new church in Dale City.
